Hi to all!
Welcome to my brand new blog where I will be posting reviews of albums from many artists from the genres of Pop (Katy Perry etc.), R&B (Rihanna etc.) and Hip Hop (Drake). I will also review music videos in a humorous manner. I’m not exactly a “diehard” fan of any artists so it will be easy for my reviews to be fair and square and just plain honest.
Some may ask, “Well why is your viewpoint so important?” which is a fair question to which I would reply saying that I am a radio presenter at my local station called ICR FM and because of this I am very open minded about the songs that make the playlist for the day. In addition to this I am also a Mashup DJ that deals with all these genres of artists almost everyday. I’ve listened to many tracks so repetitively whilst trying to create a completely different track in itself, that I’ve been able to pick apart songs for what they are (which at the end of the day is just a product for you guys to be able to enjoy your day and be able to relate to someone or something when you’re feeling a certain way). I’d like to say I’ve also been a successful Mashup DJ (if there is such a thing). I’ve had the honour of artists such as Justin Bieber, Willow Smith, Tinie Tempah, Lance Bass and many more share and view my mashups and become inspired by them. Moreover, many famous media outlets such as MTV, Perez Hilton, The Huffington Post etc. have written articles about my material and have commended my achievements.
This can also be said for music videos which I video edit and have been doing so for many years. I’ve studied Media at A-Level standard and know all the types of music videos that there are and I also know a fair amount about the business side of the music industry due to this. But I feel what is most important is that I LOVE music, it’s what keeps me going, honestly just ask my mum and she’ll tell you I never shut up singing around the house (no shame either!) and when you have a love for something it’s only normal to want to share your opinion with other people who have the same interests.
So join me in this epic adventure of reviews, good or bad and maybe, just maybe I’ll help you decide whether to spend your hard earned money on an hours worth of music 🙂
